Laboratories department dutie:

  • A sustained commitment to get the international accreditation for the examinations related to food and environmental samples depending on the international standard requirements (ISO17025), by applying the highest standards of quality and commit to these standards and develop the administrative and technical system, to update and develop information management system that monitors and facilitates all the analytical activities and work inside the lab according to the standards.

  • To provide accurate and reliable technical services by analyzing imported, exported and consumed food samples in the local market to the government regulators and private sector institutions.

  • To apply good laboratory practices (GLP) and highest standards that nationally and internationally provide a physical, chemical and bacteriological analysis and counsel services to all the different food samples, for example: milk, dairy products, baby food, meats and fish, poultry and its products, grains and legumes, bottles beverages, canned food, oils, lipid and spices and sugar products, in addition to raw and preservative materials of the food industry.

  • To apply the agreements with different authorities like industrial sectors, hotels and others to ensure the safety of the work environment and perform the necessary actions within the required specifications.

  • To provide analytical services to the environmental elements for regulators inside and outside the authority, by analyzing air and water samples, analysis evaluation and prepare technical reports to ensure a safety of the environment.

  • To supervise and evaluate ambient air quality and emissions of dust and gases from the point source in the region, through a particular monitor stations and the measuring devices of the laboratories department.

  • To evaluate the analysis result, provide counsels and recommendations and prepare technical reports to improve the quality and safety of the food.

  • To provide opportunities for advanced training, applied and scientific researches and applications on the analytical hardware. To the food and environment affairs and the Jordanian universities students.
