Aqaba Marine Reserve is located along the southern coast of the Jordanian part of the Gulf of Aqaba .it is estimated to be about seven kilometers long , extending from the southern border of the General Security Officers Club in the south . The land boundary extends to 50 meters east fo the highest point The sea extends about 350 meters to the west of the highest point of the sea . The park aims to preserve the coastal marine enciroment on the southern shore of the city of some uses within well though out and sustainable levels . In order to protect the various ecoststems and sensitive citizens in the Gulf of Aqaba , and in order to avoid interference and conflict between the multiple uses and actitivites within the boundaries of the marine park , the management has from the beginning to apply to principle of identifying the areas of use where the park was divided into five main areas and identified the activites as follows :

Protected area:  It aims to protect marine groups as normal as possible by removing or reducing humanitarian impacts on this area. Therefore, all activities will be prohibited in those areas without the written consent of the park management.

Swimming and Recreation Area: It aims to provide safe entertainment and promenade on the beach where normal swimming and scuba diving are allowed, and go down to the water and dive. The prohibited activities in this area are the movement of boats (excluding diving boats on buoys), skiing, water cycling, fishing and docking.

Boating area: It aims to provide safe movement for boats and passage to reach the shore without endangering the coastal area. Where diving, swimming, watering, skiing, water-skiing, fishing and docking are prohibited.

Diving and snorkeling area: The aim is to provide safe diving areas to enjoy the underwater scene, where water bikes, skiing, fishing, docking and boating are prohibited especially near the "Diver at the Bottom" flag.

The beach area: The land area of the marine park, located 50 meters from the highest point of the sea. All activities in this area will be controlled by the Department of the Maritime Park and special permits will be granted for use in that area, except for simple individual use and hiking. No permanent structures will be constructed except for umbrellas.
