Training Program for Job Seekers

The Department conducted a series of training courses for job seekers to raise their skills and improve their practical skills to compete for jobs available in the region.

  • English language and computer skills: The skill of mastering computer programs and English language of the basic skills required for the labor market, which help job seekers to compete for jobs that are available in the region and that contribute to reducing the poverty and unemployment of the local community in the province of Aqaba, The implementation of these programs for researchers from the graduates of the bachelor's, diploma and high school has benefited from training (660) trainees for the year 2016

  • Human Resources Management Diploma Course: Based on the results of studying the needs of the labor market, which was monitored through the establishment of the first Aqaba conference for employment and meetings that take place periodically with companies and institutions of the private sector and the existence of specializations stagnant in the labor market, there was a need to hold a specialized training program in the field Diploma of Human Resources to change the career path for graduates. The course has been implemented for 20 trainees with (150) training hours. A part of practical training has been carried out in the working environment in cooperation with private companies.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Course: In order to create job opportunities for job seekers of bachelor and diploma graduates, especially in the stagnant disciplines of engineering in the governorate of Aqaba and the provision of occupational health and safety supervisors for the labor market, 20 trainees of job seekers with 280 training hours. The training included field trips on the fertilizer plant in Aqaba. The trainees were briefed on the occupational health and safety department which is applied inside the factory, which had the greatest effect in providing the participants with practical information and knowledge about the profession of health worker And occupational safety, The trainees were subjected to the profession of occupational health and safety and obtained a certificate of employment from the Institute of Health and Occupational Safety in the Ministry of Labor, which will help them to obtain jobs in the private sector. . A training program was held for 250 hours of training. The trainees receive a certificate of professional practice in the profession of beautification so as to support them to open their own projects to contribute to reducing poverty and unemployment in these areas. Areas.

  • The course of health extensions and air conditioning: In order to train job seekers in the professional field and qualify them for job opportunities and to increase the labor market with trained and qualified cadres in the district of Quaira, a training program in the field of plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration was implemented in cooperation with the Vocational Training Institute. Training Courses for Job Seekers The Department has implemented a range of programs for job seekers in order to raise their skills and improve their practical skills to compete for jobs available in the region .

Tourism Program (1)

The implementation of the tourism program 1 in partnership with the Aqaba Development Company and cooperation with the Aqaba Hotel Association and five-star hotels where the meeting with their management and identify the professions required for the hotel sector has been identified the gap training for job seekers, has attracted the number of (30) job seekers to join the work In the hotel sector and were subjected to a training program in the English language specialized in hotel and tourist work and courses in the skills of life and career and then attached to the practical training in the work environment and the representative of hotels in the category of five stars and 4 stars for a period of 6 months against a total financial reward (150) JD Power and contribute ADC equally in the amount of JD 50.

The Aqaba Jobs Program (1)

The Authority launched Aqaba Jobs Program 1 for (60) trainees in the first phase of the graduates of the bachelor and diploma degree for job seekers in Aqaba Governorate, aiming to create job opportunities for graduates in private sector companies and establishments. The trainees were subjected to a training program for 100 hours Gain the functional skills that contribute to refining the personality of graduates and prepare them to enter the labor market in the field of training in the work environment. After the completion of the training phase, interviews were held with the participating companies, which expressed their admiration for the mechanism of implementation of the program and approved the reception of graduates to train them in their work environment according to the specializations required by companies and institutions in the private sector. The training contracts were signed in the work environment for 6 months In exchange for a monthly cash equivalent of JD 150, the Authority and the Aqaba Development Corporation will jointly contribute 50 JD and the companies will pay JD100. The trainees were followed in the field. A three-day evaluation workshop was held for participants in Aqaba Job Program 1 for companies and trainees participating in the program. The feedback from the companies was taken into account in the implementation of the Aqaba job program 2 .

Future career program

A future professional program was launched and included in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) plan. The Directorate of Community Development has signed an agreement between USAID and USAID and has received support from the Manpower Development Project funded by the training of (200) The private sector and the manpower development project finance the bulk of the program costs. The Authority contributes to the provision of training rooms and logistics services to the program. This program was announced in Aqaba Governorate. a A total of 192 professional jobseekers from different professional disciplines will be asked to address the 80 professions available in their institutions. After the training phase, practical training (training in the work environment) was started in companies and private sector institutions And for a period of (4) months For equivalent financial value of 200 dinars contributes to manpower development program in the amount of 40 trainees, it has been the number of interlacing (78) trainees in the private sector companies and factories.

Building License Course

In order to provide job opportunities for secondary and sub-secondary job seekers in the governorate of Aqaba and the provision of forklift drivers, bulldozers and construction machinery, a training course was carried out in the field of obtaining the construction license for 30 trainees from job seekers.

The project of establishing a training hall in Al Quwaira area
