Education

Education is a cornerstone for community development. The Community Development Directorate pays great attention to it as the cornerstone of comprehensive reform in various sectors. It studies the needs of the education sector from infrastructure and technical aspects to improve positively on the educational process, the teacher, the student and the school as a whole.

 

University Scholarship Program (BA + Diploma)

The program aims at students of Jordanian universities and colleges from the governorate of Aqaba who are not financially able to help them pursue their university education. The program was announced and 657 students were offered for the bachelor's degree and 73 students were enrolled in the diploma program. And open the door of objection for a week and then the necessary approvals were taken on the final lists and announced, and address the universities with the names of students beneficiaries (586) students to pay tuition fees for them. The universities and government colleges were visited to follow up the students financially and academically, and the disbursement of financial claims to universities and students beneficiaries.

The aim of this initiative is to develop the spirit of learning and creativity among students and to motivate their tendencies towards reading and discovering their talents through several activities held in the school with the participation of the local community.

This initiative aims at developing the spirit of belonging and cooperation between the school and the neighborhood and the local community and instilling the values and principles of a healthy and clean society where the students of the tenth school for girls in cooperation with the local community will conduct clean campaigns for the region.

Golden Throat Initiative

The golden larynx initiative is currently being prepared through the launch of a competition for the finest voice of the Holy Quran.

Provision of housing for Single teachers

(45) teachers were provided during the year 2016 and salaries were paid (6) users in schools.

Understanding Memorandum with Aqaba University of Technology

A memorandum of understanding was signed with the University of Aqaba for Technology to provide 14 university grants. The students were paid at the university's expense from the first semester 2016. The Authority will pay the student a personal allowance of JD 100 per month for the duration of his studies. Featured.

Support different activities

  • Logistical support was provided to Tafila Technical University with the provision of 50 lunches to a group of students who visited Aqaba to follow the course of the Great Arab Revolt as part of the celebration of the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt.

  • To cover the cost of a school trip to the Salman Persian School to support and motivate the new administration and encourage students to commit to follow-up study, where the school suffers from severe weakness in the level of students.
