Functions of the Directorate of Employment and Training in the Private Sector

  • Considering the recruitment applications to give priority to job opportunities that available to Jordanians and try to qualify and train Jordanians in the required fields that needs  skills more than what’s available

  • Conducting Surveys and field visits of establishments operating in the region by sector, and view the employment opportunities available to them and collect them to create Jobs

  • Receiving job seeker’s requests, listing their qualifications and experience

  • Providing the establishments operating in the region with their needs of employment within statements that show the data of the qualifications, experiences and others as enquired and follow-up.

  • Communicate with Jordanians to ensure that they want to work in the professions offered by the establishments before transferring their applications to them

  • Coordinating interviews with companies to ensure that no incapacitate conditions placed in

  • following up to what has been accepted by the Jordanian labor which is  important to determine the permance or lack thereof and to know the reasons for making the appropriate decision

  • Negotiating with the establishments regarding obtaining their request from foreign labor in exchange for employing and training Jordanians through signed agreements between the two parties.

  •  Adopting the framework for the training programs and instructing the Training Department to hold a training commensurate with the needs of the labor market

  •  Restricting training opportunities for the professions and jobs required for the labor market (training gap) through:

    •  Applications of companies and institutions for the recruitment of migrant labor through the Directorate of Labor.

    •  Applications of companies to occupy some jobs not available in the labor market through the operating department.

    • field surveys of the sectors operating in Aqaba through field visits and mobilization of questionnaires prepared for this purpose.

  •  Attract trainees looking for work through the database available to the Directorate and through advertisements for job seekers and the next

    •  Sort and insert applications into the program.

    •  Conducting interviews with applicants in the presence of representatives of companies requesting careers and jobs.

    •  Conduct interviews and exit the list of candidates for training.

    •  Implementation of the training program

    •  Follow-up training and evaluation

    • Providing the Directorate of Employment with a list of graduates from the courses to join them in the labor market.

  • Training in the Work Environment :

    • Signing a memorandum of understanding with partnerships and institutions wishing to receive trainees in the work environment.

    • Interviewing jobseekers in the presence of the applicant requesting a suitable training list.

    • Following-up trainees in the field and conduct the evaluation

  • Providing the operating department lists with names and addresses of trainees after the end of the training period to be followed by the operation later

  • Receiving requests for job seekers from the Governorate of Aqaba and wishing to enroll in training courses related to the labor market and to introduce them to the program

  • Implementation of training programs in neighboring villages based on requests received by us in addition to the implementation of training programs linked to the labor market

  • Providing  professional guidance for job seekers

  • Attract  funding to implement some programs

  • Networking with local training providers in the region to implement training programs.

  • Identify a list of professions and jobs required for the labor
